Growing up,it's pretty much the same everywhere.
Age 13-17
That's where you starting to change from a child to teen, you starting to understood more about life, responsibilities, the inequalities in life, difference between rich and poor, unfairness, then to intra-person/inter-person skills, participate in activities to event, pretty from connects your childhood and starts forming a person.
Age 18-24
The timezone where you change from being a teen to young adult, some people starts to change here, they understood that the "teen" ends, the third'teen' fourteen' ,like a bubble, starts to get larger and finally pops, and there you have it twen'ty',Ends the 'teen'.
Well some doesn't realise they've grown old, still wanna enjoy those small funs in life, unwilling to grow-up to accept that they need to move on and change and accept that no more "fun"
"sleeping late to have fun, wake up late, party all night,'Chill', and the list goes on...."
These are the things that really need to give up
What really is happening all the time was they're missing out the BIG picture. That they're carry these immature habits to their workplace and to their "mature" lives, they proceed to go clubs, thinking these is what "life" is,well,it might be.
But if you're dreaming of getting a good life, then be prepared for the hardwork, these are things to need to give up.Stop thinking like a Child, wants the Good stuffs, but don't want the Good Hard work.
24-and above, well it's too far away for me to say there.
This is what I foresee if I proceed to live in a city in this age,as someone who is studying Uni,and go after "work",work as in "labour".Understanding the word labour is eye-opening by itself,it simply means:
-Origin
Middle English labo(u)r, from Old French labour (noun), labourer (verb), both from Latinlabor ‘toil, trouble.’
-From wikipedia
Where you can see it's more originates to describe, working for people,as in you don't work for yourself/you don't work to make other lives better, you don't work for a better cause, but you work for that "mouth of rice",that every month paycheque. Then for that every month of paycheque you get,you spend it on small things,a few pieces of new cloths, new watch,or pay the car/house loans.
Wake up every morning at 7 am,eat breakfast - traffic jam - go to work - traffic jam - lunch(checking out new places) - back to work - traffic jam - dinner/hit the gym - go pub - traffic jam - head home - reach home at 2 am - Repeat
Every once in a while, you use that extra cash that you stack up over a year to go for a vacation or a trip,Life's good,So far.
The cycle continues till you're 40-50,and finally you decided that life needs to change, and get the 'pension' fund out and do something that you really wanted, but by then you discover you are not that youthful anymore.
What the majority of people doing, isn't always the right answer to life, seek out what do you want, live out what you actually want than following the crowd.
"Being prime minister is a lonely job... you cannot lead from the crowd."
-Margaret Thatcher
(What's stated above is merely an opinion, but that gives you a new perspective to look from)
